O’Rourke/Miceli Quintet

The first of a triple bill sees some of the finest musicians in jazz today take to the stage in Dolans to perform together for the first time. These seasoned jazz musicians ably assisted by Dan Bodwell and John Daly have between them have over eighty plus years of performing jazz improvisation.They all have also performed with with some of the biggest names in jazz through their respective careers, David O Rourke Guitar (a very in demand composer and arranger) with George Benson Bucky Pizzarelli Les Paul etc…… Tony Miceli Vibes (always displaces phenomenal virtuosity) has played with Ken Peplowski Jimmy Bruno John Swana etc.

It will also be a first time performing in Ireland for special guest Jesús Santandreu Sax from Valencia Spain who will have played three concerts in total over the festival week. We are delighted to be able to bring you this extra special concert – an afternoon of great jazz is in store so don’t miss out.
