Following the release of their debut CD One Day In Winter, the Carole Nelson Trio have dates lined up for an Irish Winter 2018 tour. Long at the creative hub of multi award-winning group Zrazy, Carole has turned her attention to the stripped back form of the jazz trio. One Day In Winter, inspired by the South Carlow landscape, traces the arc of a winter’s day between the Barrow and the Blackstairs Mountains – a journey through a human landscape as much as a physical one – meditation, wonder, playfulness, contemplation of ageing and death, human warmth and companionship.
