Limerick Jazz Festival Friends Scheme
The eighth annual Limerick Jazz Festival will take place on the weekend of September 27th – 39th 2019. Once again, we will be presenting a mix of outstanding Irish and international musicians and a programme that combines quality, accessibility and great value for money.
Limerick has the most active jazz scene in Ireland outside Dublin. Limerick Jazz Society has been bringing outstanding jazz performers to the city since the 1980s and Limerick Jazz Workshop has been providing jazz education since 2007.
Limerick Jazz Festival is working to capitalize on this track record by creating an event with national reach. The successful regeneration of UK cities such as Glasgow and Liverpool shows that a stronger cultural profile has been vital in transforming their image. As we reach our seventh year we are a well-established part of Limerick’s cultural calendar and receiving positive national media coverage.
The festival is being promoted by Limerick Jazz Society and is supported by the Arts Council and Limerick City and County Council. We are also pleased to welcome Sirius Aviation Capital as our main sponsor and Guinness as first-time sponsor of our Jazz Trail. More information is available at www.limerickjazzfestival.com.
