Tony Miceli is the consummate professional musician. A vibraphonist of amazing dexterity,he was born in New Jersey and now resides in Philadelphia. Miceli has been coming to Limerick since 2007 where he has been giving workshops on jazz improvisation at the Peter Dee Academy of Music.  In November 2012 Miceli along with some of Ireland’s finest players Phil Ware (piano), Dave Redmond (bass) and John Daly (drums) recorded their first CD under the name of the Modern Irish Quartet paying tribute to the legendary jazz icons of the 60’s and 70’s, the Modern Jazz Quartet. In April the band will do a 10 day Irish Tour to coincide with the CD Launch and Monday April 14th will see them perform at The Granary Library Michael St. This is a free performance kindly sponsored in part by Limerick City and County Council. This promises to be a most entertaining evening of great jazz, we hope you can join us.
